Method of welding is to produce a butt weld joint by melting each end of the of the extrudate simultaneously, then, once molten, bring the the two ends together and allow to cool. Remove the flash and the belt is ready for use.
A full instruction sheet is supplied with every unit giving a step by step guide to performing a successful weld.
Supplied in either 230V or 110V, they are portable allowing the user to complete and repair belts directly on the application.

The unit has been developed as an alternative to our Welding Jig Unit providing more flexibility where access is a problem.
Each kit comprises of a 75W/230V iron with an in line voltage regulator to give temperature control, fitted with a specially designed blade tip suitable for all sections of belting
In addition you have the option of either our plastic belt clamp or steel clamp unit suited to the more demanding environment.
Finally both sets of trimming clippers are included with the optional extra of plastic holding case.

Traditional methods of butt welding reinforced profiles are not suited to this type of product as they severely minimise the strength abilities at the joint area, limiting the belt's use.
The use of hot air not only eliminates contamination through non-contact with the product, but speeds the process up to achieve maximum results within minutes. No need to pre-heat, simply start from cold. The hot air is delivered instantly.
